The Expanse – Review 6/7

I had to write a review of this as it was something of a recent favorite of mine that I feel is a bit of a sleeper hit.

The Expanse is a recent TV show, on Syfy, based on a series of novels by James S. A. Corey. In many ways the story is political intrigue and mystery in the future when humans have colonized the solar system. It’s a mix of Game of Thrones and Dune, with a touch of Rendezvous with Rama (By Arthur Clarke, 2001 A Space Odyssey).

All of the show has very high production value, and while sometimes I didn’t feel connected with the characters and what was going on as I could have been, it still kept me intrigued to see and learn more about what was going on and the universe the author and show’s creators had made.

For anyone wanting a new, high quality Science Fiction show since Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica this is it. Honestly, I can’t wait for season 2 already.
