Jin and the Solstice of Blood (Part 39)

[Going to be extra short this week due to my work]

Ikiru suddenly coughed and began to move. “Where is he?” He mumbled and started to look around as he attempted to shift to his feet.

“He’s dead,” I said, pointing over to the body of Izanagi that lay several feet from us. Ikiru looked over and finally stood up.

“You can’t kill a god Jin. At least not like this… but since you destroyed his vessel here in Yomi, he’ll have a tough time coming back.”

“Sure,” I responded, “But now I’m more concerned as to how we get back. I don’t care to be stuck here.”

Ikiru looked up at the sealed door that Izanagi and Ooruchi had tried to break open. The seal seemed untouched, and he rested his hand against it. “That, you can leave to me.” He said turning back to face me.
