Defenders (Part 31)

Arthur wasn’t sure if he should be offended or not, he was from a big city and not used to being called primitive, but out of all the aliens so far, this one seemed to be the most amicable. “Well, you know, we get by huh?” Arthur couldn’t think of good responses on the fly.

“Ok, ok, no need to offend friend.” Fin ‘smiled’ again. “I meant no harm.”

“No, it’s ok…” Arthur responded, “I’m honestly just in a bit of shock that’s all… this all is crazy.”

“I know right? I had always dreamed of joining the Defenders, this is really a dream come true.”

Arthur felt Fin had missed the point, but insisting that he was in shock because he was now in a spaceship lightyears from earth, or that he and the others had been attacked and nearly killed by some kind of intergalactic criminal was either proving he was from a backwater planet or forbidden, so he kept his mouth shut.

“So um… it seems you know more about the program than me,” Arthur started to ask, “can you tell me what happens next?”
