Deadlines

Paris was in a cold sweat. She was way behind on her deadline, and inspiration just wouldn’t come to her. She knew that she only had around three hours to work on the article and she kept glancing over to her editor. He was not going to be happy. Usually, Paris wasn’t the type of person to leave things for the last minute, but this article had been particularly hard to write.

She saw her editor walk out of his office and come her way. He walked past towards the toilets and gave her a smile as he went. She let out a sigh of relief though he knew it was only a temporary reprieve.

Staring at the screen again she began to get nervous. It was like there was a mental roadblock in her mind. Letting out a final sigh she just started to type. She knew it was terrible, but it was better than a blank page she hoped.
